AgriBioTech (NASDAQ:ABTX)

AgriBioTech has spent the last few years consolidating the highly fragmented forage and turf seed marketplace. AgriBioTech was the largest forage and cool-season turf grass company in the world until it declared bankruptcy in January 2000

AgriBioTech's consolidation strategy, like many consolidation strategies, left the company on shaky financial ground. Unlike most companies, however, there is quite a story of how the company ended up where it is today. Currently completing restructuring plans and write-offs consistent with announced plans, AgriBioTech is also seeking to revitalize its balance sheet.

AgriBioTech has acquired and licensed important biotechnology properties. These properties, if they work as intended and are not encumbered by other licenses and patents, will be revolutionary. The technologies and licenses owned by AgriBioTech may solidify their place as the leader in their market sector and generate significant licensing revenues from other seed sectors -- once again, given certain assumptions. The HybriGene and Kimeragen technologies may even serve to broaden the uses for plants beyond that which is currently possible.

This NymbleInvestor.com Research Report goes into significant detail on all these points and presents several pages worth of scenarios that may interfere with the success of AgriBioTech. (Note: Many of these detail the problems that eventually brought AgriBioTech to bankruptcy). The report begins by offering background information on AgriBioTech as well as bringing the reader up to speed on the company's current plans and announcements. The report then delves into the often misunderstood seed industry. AgriBioTech's forage and seed sectors are discussed in detail, including a special section on the company's secondary forages. The report continues by delving into AgriBioTech's two most important technologies: HybriGene and Kimeragen. The NymbleInvestor.com research staff then assigns potential revenue valuations to the company's technologies and markets before wrapping up with several pages of reasons why AgriBioTech may fail or only be partially successful in its efforts.
