Like most in the financial community, we experienced an enormous sense of loss when the barbarians attacked the WTC complex and the Pentagon. Colleagues and friends at firms such as Cantor Fitzgerald perished in the destruction. On Tuesday morning, we pulled down our normal home page and substituted it with a short note and contact information for the Red Cross to assist those interested in donating blood or money. An American Tragedy Revisited The staff at NymbleInvestor.com would like to encourage you to remember those who need help in your local community. America poured out its heart and opened up its wallet to the victims of the disaster in New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. We are to be commended. However, donations have dried up to service organizations and charities right in our own backyards. Right here in Seattle, and in cities across the nation, charities are having to lay off people and shutter their doors because people are directing all their charitable contributions elsewhere.
