This is an excellent book for people who know what an oscillator is but want to learn more about how to use it as an indication of entering and exiting trades. The book is reasonably well written. Like most writers who cover technical analysis subjects, Mark Etzkorn can't resist detailing the calculations used to get these indicators. In this book, however, it doesn't get in the way.

This book was plastered on the front windows of bookstores around the nation, but we largely ignored it as we don't consider ourselves daytraders. When we read an interview with author, David Nassar, in the May 1999 issue of Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities we decided to take a look. While the book is not a complete answer, it is an excellent starting point for daytraders in particular and active traders in general. The book is a little self-promoting at times, but there is enough information present to excuse that flaw.
This was a book we first came across when reading an interview with one of the authors in a recent issue of Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities. Frankly, we were not that impressed with many of the trading "pointers" in the book as we are not daytraders. (If you are a daytrader, this book is certainly worth your while). But when we got to the section on rules for trading and the section on risk management, we knew it was worth the money for any type of regular trader. In fact, we think so much of it that we're advertising this book --  a book published by a partial competitor web site -- to our Subscribers. Check it out.
